"Gear Up for STEM"

Girl Scouts Day is our chapter's largest annual event where undergraduate engineering students introduce science, technology, engineering, and math concepts to young girls. Held each spring semester, we plan a full day of interactive and educational activities, including hands-on labs, games, crafts, experiments, and more. These activities plus a tour of our engineering school works to encourage a curiosity in S.T.E.M. that will ignite an interest in the girls to have a future career in engineering.
Who: 4th-6th Grade Girl Scouts
Theme: Gear Up for STEM
When: April 7, 2018
Time: 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Location: Miami University, Oxford campus
Psychology Building, Engineering Building
(90 N Patterson Ave, Oxford, OH 45056)
Parking: Garage available behind the Engineering Building next to Psych Building (carpooling encouraged!), or a visitor parking pass can be purchased through Miami website for street parking
Dress Code: Casual clothes (jeans and t-shirt...some stations may be messy)
Registration cost: $10 per girl (includes t-shirt, Entertainment Technology badge, and snack!)
Remember to Bring a Lunch!
Please have at least 1 Troop Leader/ Adult that is able to attend the event
Registration Deadline: March 7, 2017

IMPORTANT: Each troop leader fills out ONE registration form.
Please collect individual checks/money from parents, and send us
